Decades of building, before the internet was ordinary.

Paul’s work in technology and network architecture began long before the modern internet became a household staple. From 1987 to 1996 he served as President and CEO of Global Artists Network Systems Inc., where he developed a system using satellite transmitters and receivers to place computer kiosks in shopping malls for live art auctioning — a concept well ahead of its time. The venture never reached launch: the sudden rise of the World Wide Web and eBay overtook it and ended the business. The work nonetheless cemented his expertise in complex database programming and software development.

Since 1998, Paul has operated A1 On-Call Computer Technician, providing forensic data recovery, network security, manual virus removal, and DDoS mitigation to more than 1,000 clients across British Columbia and Alberta. He served as IT Director for Yaletown Sofa Co. in Vancouver, managing the technology and networks for 13 retail locations, and has consulted for major real estate and industrial firms. He studied Computer Science and Fine Art at the University of British Columbia Okanagan.

A protector’s mindset.

Parallel to his technological career, Paul has an extensive background in physical security and executive protection. He holds an Advanced Private Security Professional Diploma from the Hilltop Security Academy, representing 360 hours of advanced training. He is trained in close-protection formations, tactical communications, skip tracing, and self-defense — including eight years earning a Brown Belt in ITF Tae Kwon Do and six years earning a Blue Belt in WTF Tae Kwon Do.

He has spent years in crowd management and asset protection: as event security for the Shambhala Music Festival, as a movie-industry security guard with Teamsters 155, and as an undercover loss-prevention officer for ILPS and major retail chains.

Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and now residing in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Paul’s life has been shaped by profound personal and spiritual experiences. At his core he holds a simple, unwavering philosophy: truthfulness is the foundation of everything, and one must do what is right regardless of the outcome.

He is the author of the forthcoming book THE TRUTH!!! The Meaning & Purpose of Life, a biographical account of his lifelong walk with Christ. Written through extreme childhood adversity and profound loss — including the passing of his first wife in 1996, and the passing of his wife in 2014, which halted his university studies — it reflects a life devoted to uncovering the purpose of human existence and following his faith.
